Dancy Bottoms Trail Bridge

Dancy Bottom Trail Bridge Replacement

A recent WWRA project was the much needed replacement of the foot bridge on the Dancy Bottom Nature Trail. The bridge was quickly becoming unsafe for use and the trail was in danger of having to be closed to the public. Refuge maintenance personnel and volunteers were available to provide labor, but refuge funds were not available to purchase the needed materials. The WWRA stepped up and purchased the lumber and steel needed to complete the project. The bridge was replaced and the trail has remained open.
